Başakşehir Living Lab
Başakşehir Living Lab is a co-creation platform for entrepreneurs, researchers, professionals, students, municipalities and citizens. From this point of view, our main design incentive for the living lab building is to create a flexible and fluid spatial configuration with a clear and minimalist architectural language.
The building is located at the outskirts of Istanbul where mass housing is surrounding the plot. These apartment units are some of the earliest ones that is built in Basaksehir region which may be considered as a satellite city. The plot has a slope that gives us opportunity to create one basement floor overlooking to the opposite direction of the entrance. We propose a single cubic white colored mass, 33 meter by 33 meter in size with equal structural dimensions with a significant facade panels creating an identity for the building to reflect the computer technology to which BLL is focusing.
