The project area is at the center of Ankara which is the capital city of Turkey. Ankara has been characterized by its repulican period architecture at early 1900’s. There was a shopping mall building built in 1957 previously at the project site called ‘modern çarşı’ (modern shopping mall) design by Architect Rıza Aşkan before its demolisment at 2006 after a fire at 24 December 2003. The old Building carries the deisgn principles of it own era that may be described as international style, reflecting giral prizmatic building blocks following the principles of Corbusian architecture.
